The next Royal Doulton from our collection is this impossible to find LIMITED EDITION of 1000 character jug entitled Rip Van Winkle D6785 Special Edition for John Sinclair Sheffield. This is a large version standing approximately 7" tall x 7" wide. As you can see this jug features different coloration then the traditional Rip Van Winkle, only 1000 were ever produced!!! This character jug is inspired by a famous fictional character Rip Van Winkle.
As you can see in the pictures it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. Identified on the bottom as Rip Van Winkle D6785 1954 Royal Doulton New Colourway 1987 Special Edition of 1000 for John Sinclair Sheffield. This rare jug would make a fantastic gift or display piece!
