The next Royal Doulton from our collection is this vintage character jug from Williamsburg entitled Guardsman D6568. This is the large version standing approximately 7-1/2" tall x 7" wide. It features the Guard from the colonial town of Williamsburg with a spear as the handle. As you can see in the pictures it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some crazing, but that is to be expected on a piece of this vintage nature. Identified on the bottom as D6568, Character Jugs of Williamsburg Copr 1962.
